Terms of Use
The agreement between you and ZPubHouse — including what you promise about the work you upload.
Effective 7 September 2026
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Carolina E. Zambrano, an individual doing business as Zambrano’s Publishing House / ZPubHouse (“ZPubHouse”, “we”, “us”). They govern zpubhouse.com and everything on it, including BookStreamTV, the author Studio, our contests and our shop.
By using the site, creating an account, publishing as an author, or buying anything from us, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information about you, and it forms part of these terms.
1.The short version
This summary is here so that nobody has to guess what they agreed to. It is not a substitute for the sections below, which are what actually binds us.
- Your work stays yours. Publishing on ZPubHouse does not give us ownership of your book, your cover, your artwork or your audio.
- But you must own it, or have permission. You promise that everything you upload is yours to upload — including cover art, photographs, music, and anything made for you by someone else. This is the most important promise in this document.
- You give us permission to show it. So that we can host your work, resize your images, display them on the site and promote them, you grant us a licence to do exactly that — and nothing more.
- You stay responsible for it. If someone says your content infringes their rights, that is yours to answer for, and you cover us if we are dragged into it.
- We curate. ZPubHouse is a family-friendly platform, and we can decline, restrict or remove content and accounts that do not fit.
- If you think we are hosting your copyrighted work without permission, tell us — there is a procedure below, and we will act on it.
2.Who may use ZPubHouse
Anyone may read and watch the public parts of the site, at any age. To create an account, apply as an author, subscribe or make a purchase, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you are creating an account on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
Children are welcome as readers, not as account holders. If you are a parent or guardian and you let a child use the site through your account, you remain responsible for what happens under it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle children’s privacy and what we do not collect.
3.Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away at zpubhouse@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
- One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- You can close your account at any time by asking us.
6.Content standards
ZPubHouse exists to publish stories that inspire, and it is read by families and young readers. Content on the platform must be consistent with that.
- Keep it aligned with family-friendly narratives, as set out in the author qualification questions you agreed to.
- No sexually explicit material, no gratuitous violence, and nothing that sexualises or endangers minors.
- No hateful, harassing, defamatory or threatening content, and nothing that incites harm.
- No content that promotes illegal activity, deceives readers about who wrote it, or impersonates another person.
- No spam, no malware, and no attempts to manipulate our audience figures or reviews.
7.Things you must not do
- Copy, scrape, mirror or systematically download the site, or anyone’s work on it.
- Break, probe or circumvent our security, rate limits or access controls, or use anyone else’s account.
- Interfere with the site’s operation, or with other people’s use of it.
- Use the platform to infringe intellectual property, invade privacy, or break the law.
- Reverse-engineer or reuse our software, design or code, except as the law expressly permits.
8.Our brand, our site and our code
The ZPubHouse and BookStreamTV names and logos, the site’s design, its written copy, its software and its arrangement of content are owned by Carolina E. Zambrano or licensed to her, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Using the site gives you no right to use them beyond viewing the site normally, and no right to use our names or logos to suggest that we endorse you.
Third-party components used in the site remain the property of their owners and are used under their own licences, which are listed in the notices file published with the platform.
9.Copyright complaints
If you believe material on ZPubHouse infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent — by email to zpubhouse@gmail.com with “DMCA Notice” in the subject line, or by post to PO Box 1880, Collierville, TN 38017, United States — including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- What work you say has been infringed.
- Where the infringing material is on our site, precisely enough for us to find it.
- How we can contact you — address, telephone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
We will remove or disable material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, and we will pass it to the person who complained.
A warning to anyone sending a notice. Section 512(f) of the Copyright Act makes you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, if you knowingly and materially misrepresent that material is infringing. Please be sure before you send one.
10.Author subscriptions, purchases and refunds
- Author subscription. Publishing as an author requires a paid subscription at the price shown when you subscribe. It renews automatically for the same period until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your Studio settings — access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
- Payments. Billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing or purchasing, you authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your chosen payment method.
- Prices can change. We will give notice before a change affects a renewal.
- Digital purchases and refunds. Items bought in our shop are digital and are made available to you immediately. If you are not happy with a purchase, ask us within 14 days and we will refund it — write to us through the contact form or by email. We may decline a repeated pattern of buy-and-refund, but otherwise we would rather give your money back than have you keep something you did not want.
- Taxes. Prices are stated exclusive of any tax that may apply; where we are required to collect tax, it is added at checkout.
11.Links, embedded players and other people’s services
Our pages embed video and audio players served by YouTube and Spotify, and both our pages and author pages link to outside sites such as bookstores and social profiles. We do not control those services, and we are not responsible for their content, their availability, or what they do with information about you — their own terms and privacy policies apply, and our Privacy Policy explains what those embedded players mean for you.
12.Contests
We run writing contests for stories written for children. These rules apply to all of them, alongside any specific rules published with an individual contest.
- Entrants must be 18 or older. The stories are written for children — the people entering are adults. Entering means giving us a name, an email address and a file, and that is personal information we will not collect from a child. We do not knowingly accept an entry from anyone under 18.
- By entering you confirm that you have read these terms, and that everything in “Your content, and the promises you make about it” is true of your story — above all that it is your own original, unpublished work.
- No purchase is necessary to enter or to win, and buying anything does not improve anyone’s chance of winning.
- Judging is ours. We decide who wins, using the criteria published with the contest, and our decision is final. We may decline any entry that does not meet our content standards.
- Entering does not give us your story. You keep every right in it. We take only the permission described above — to display and promote entries and winners on ZPubHouse and our channels — and we will name the writer whenever we do.
- Prizes are as described with each contest, cannot be exchanged for cash unless we say so, and any tax on a prize is the winner’s responsibility.
- Where the law does not allow a contest like ours, it is void. Entrants are responsible for their own local law.
- We may change or cancel a contest if we have to — for example if too few entries arrive, or if something goes wrong with it. If we cancel one, we will say so on the contest page.
Contest entries are deleted three years after the contest closes, or sooner if you ask. See our Privacy Policy.
13.Availability, and what we do not promise
We work to keep ZPubHouse running and improving, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. We do not promise that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that any particular level of audience, sales or exposure will result from publishing with us. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of your work — please do not treat the platform as your only backup.
14.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZPubHouse and Carolina E. Zambrano will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or loss of goodwill, arising out of or connected with your use of the platform, however caused.
Our total liability for any claim connected with the platform will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15.Suspension and termination
You may stop using ZPubHouse and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if these terms are broken, if we are required to, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the platform, its readers, or someone’s rights.
The sections that should survive the end of this agreement do survive it — including your promises about Your Content, the indemnity, the limitation of liability, and the sections on our brand and on governing law.
16.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Shelby County, Tennessee have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
There is no arbitration clause here, and that is deliberate. If we ever have a disagreement we cannot settle, you keep your ordinary right to go to court, and to join others in doing so. We would much rather you told us about a problem first — most things can be fixed by an email.
Talk to us first. Before starting any formal claim, please write to us and give us 30 days to put it right. That is not a condition of your rights; it is a request, and it has resolved every problem we have had so far.
17.The rest
- Changes. We may update these terms. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading, and we will give notice of material changes. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
- The whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the author qualification questions you agreed to, and any contest or purchase rules, are the entire agreement between us about the platform.
- If part of it fails. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
- Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business.
